Publix is by far the dominate grocery chain. They can be expensive if you’re not shopping sales, but we meal plan based on whatever’s on VIC for the week, so we can usually get by at $100 a week for two people. Harris Teeter is where 70% of our groceries come from. I’m not completely sold on “organic” but there are definitely some things where they’re better. Oh, and their store organic brand of cream cheese is the best cream cheese for baking. They have a better deli selection and their bakery bread is amazing, but their prices are ridiculous for normal grocery shopping. Some of the Food Lion brand stuff is okay, but their shredded cheese is awful, and their canned tomato can be way too acidic. Their authentic hispanic ingredients are way more diverse than HT, so we’ll get dried peppers and caldo de tomate from FL.
